Nonprofit research proposal
The name of the organization I will study is The Salt Lake Outreach Micro Fund. The name of the contact person I plan to interview is Michael Atkinson (founder).
I chose it because I like the notion of “grass roots micro-credit.” As a non-profit “start up,” They will be tackling many of the issues and considering many of the aspects taught in this class. They have the benefit of finding a specific constituency and serving that need directly. Here is their second newsletter: Salt Lake Outreach Newsletter
I hope to learn how this company identifies and generates donor interest.
Because the founder is a colleague, his disposition leads me to believe that this company is legitimate, useful, and has heart.
Speaking of the spirit of giving and the holidays; in Dec. 06, Manhatton and I rocked this mock every day. Now it is nearly impossible to find because of the youtube contest. For the record, we were corny before corny was cool.
