K. I picked up the movie up at Blockbuster last week and finally got around to watching it last night (11 pm – 1 am). I had writer’s block and needed a mellowness diversion. Yeah, it was nice piece of cinematography. The big point was about how poor people are happier than the well off. Well Dalai14, good job – your entire country in exile is in rags (and has been for 40 years). How divine. As appealing as being half-starved and threadbare is to me, I’ll pass. The Chinese took your country which was the size of Europe and are using it now because you disarmed your people, surrendered it to them and then ran away. Where I come from (in the West), we call that “yellow-bellied” “lily-livered” “panty-waist” in that order. Others call it cowardly. Even the Jews came to their senses after they made the same mistake with Hitler and in the Six Days war pulled it back together. Did you get that? SIX DAYS. Then again, the Jews have G-d on their side.

Let’s get to the hard questions – the ones that brainiac Rick Ray didn’t ask: Do you believe in God? Are you God? Why were you deceived by Mao? Define the objective in retreating from the place and people over which you were expected to PROTECT, PROVIDE and PRESIDE.

You left Tibet when you were in your teens. Dude, when I was in my teens, I was IMMORTAL. When you were 16, you were a sissy. You spoke to congress a few years ago and requested that we “Free Tibet.” DON’T ASK OTHERS TO DO WHAT YOU WON’T. You had the gall to reference Jefferson and Franklin in your speech. In your research, did you ever stumble across quotes like, “The tree of liberty is dunged with the blood of patriots..” or “Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.”? Those FATHERS of the constitution were willing to die (and kill) for their families and freedoms. Their examples and values built the most GENEROUS nation of people on this globe. Their posterity work tirelessly to cure diseases, feed your starving population and others, and are a GREAT PEOPLE (yes, we have our problems too – but you came to us for help, remember?). I think that your “tolerance” is merely fear and apathy induced by the selfishness of self-preservation.

NOBEL never made a bigger mistake than in giving you that prize. Your people are decimated, stripped and hungry. I hope that little piece of precious metal comforts you in your shame. The lesson I take from you is this: don’t raise your boys to be monks, raise them to be MEN.

Last question: How do you plan to restore your people to the land of their inheritance?
