Mandi, couldn't agree more about the pearls comment. Here is the skinny on the ones shown: Three strands belonged to g-ma great (bear has her middle name - Shirley). The opera length Akoyas were looped ad-hoc for a double strand during the holidays until bear pulled the one strand which made the other cinch like a noose. She can't wear those again for a while. The Mikimoto strand was restrung by yours truly because bear had chewed the nacre off some in the front (just chipped it, really). I replaced those with the pink freshwater rounds (blasphemy, I know) in a cascade. The pink strand was the one she wore with the raw silk baby blessing dress, but it wasn't individually knotted so we lost a bunch when it broke. The freshwater hodge-podge assorted colors/shapes was my gift to her after her first ballet performance. The four-strand knotted cluster is another opera-length from gma-Shirley. I'm planning on Silver Tahitians for her 16th b-day and maybe 7mm dangling from solid gold hoop earrings(that match her Mama's)at baptism. I'm open to other ideas - especially about pearls. :-)

I have that same CTR pendant, and one can never have too many strands of pearls. She's a good woman already.
